Zaomu Reservoir affects the life and property safety of the downstream county and four towns, including 120,000 people. In 2005, it was listed as the city's only key flood control medium-sized reservoir by the State Prevention Headquarters. To ensure the safety of the reservoir and the public, Shangli County has decided to invest 1.1 million yuan in the monitoring and testing of the dam reservoir, which will begin construction in November 2020.
